I needed this to replace a much thinner electric wire that I use to protect my permanent wooden fence from the horses. With this being so much thicker and stronger there is less chance of it snapping if power runs out and the horses get to it! I make horse fences with this green & white rope about waist height and another green & white rope at top of wellie boot height and then a 2mm aluminium wire middle height between the two ropes. Has worked fine. The aluminium makes sure the power goes the whole way as the snag with rope is that after some months the fine thread wires break .
