When left in place and not moved these scales are consistent, easy to read and look good
At first I got a totally different reading every time I moved its position around the bathroom floor - even though it was level. There could be up to 0.75 kg difference between readings 10 seconds apart. I found that choosing a permanent position for the scales and re-setting them once only, when they were in place, solved the problem. The scales have remained consistent and accurate and I will now leave them in place. I like the nice big platform and easy to read display. They also look good. Inaccurate and inadequate
Scales are not accurate and give different readings at intervals of a few seconds. I have returned them. This was my second attempt to get an accurate set of scales from Salter (the self-proclaimed market leader in the UK) - I tried 2 different models (by no means the cheapest) with the same results. In the past, this company was extremely reliable and good quality. I have kitchen scales and an older set of bathroom scales which I am replacing, both of which have been perfect for more than 30 years, from Salter. Why are their current products so poor? Is it because they are now made in China? I have now purchased a set of scales made by Beurer (German) which appear fine, at a similar price. It should not be this difficult to find an item as basic and banal as bathroom scales which simply do the job required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

QUARTER OF A TON!
Love that this goes up to a quarter of a ton!!! (God only knows who weighs this much!!!) I bought this to weigh 'stuff' - that may or may not look like a motorbike! :-) When a mate saw it and heard how much it can hold, he said it wasn't the capacity that was impressive, but that the glass could take that much!!! Oh, and great that you can just stand on it when off and it fires up and reads the weight. Good and bad
Not greatly impressed I'm sorry to say , it's a good size and the display is big and easy to see .
