I really like this alarm clock. Initially, I thought the item I was buying would wake me with 6 or so sounds, but really, it's more like 3. But I chose the birds, and it's nice. Interesting idea but I expect more from a Philips Product
Pros: The sunrise/sunset simulations, colors and night light are nicely done. The ability to tap for turning on/off the nightlight and the alarm is a nice feature. As an alarm clock it works on a basic level and has a phone charging outlet. The lighting quality is very good. Cons: The menu is not intuitive! Its interface reminds me of the first generation of electronic toys with all the button pushing/menus. There is also no interaction with other devices except a phone charger and speaker plug. There is no 'weekend mode' setup and it takes a minute or two just to change to another alarm time. There are only two alarm time settings. I would expect more from a product made by Philips. Philips Hue Lights are easily programmed to do more and more through phone and tablet apps and work intuitively with Alexa voice controls in our home. When the Somneo is integrated with Alexa or Google products it will be more useful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The lamp was wonderful, sleek looking and a great upgrade to Phillips previous generation of wake up therapy light lamps. Great way to start your mornings!
-Every setting can be adjusted to whatever your preference is. I like it bright & loud. -I know many people complain, why is it not Bluetooth capable and it is because blue light is emitted from smart phones, tv's and computer screens. Blue light interferes with sleep. So the alarm was designed so that you do not look at a screen before going to bed. -Some menu items need only to be touched, others require a 1-2 second pause over them. -I enjoy using the wind down feature as a white noise maker.
