Delivery was prompt and item was brand new. I’ve had the MyQ wall console for several years now and have tried many different remotes. While some were more durable than others, I’ve always had trouble with inconsistent response.due to interference or signal scrambling from nearby military bases. Installation of the internet gateway was quick and easy and operation via the app has been flawless; works every time. No more clicking and waiting for me. For those who may be interested, linking the Ring app with the MyQ app adds a tile to the Ring app dashboard to monitor and operate the garage door from anywhere. Did not work for my Genie Intelicode garage door opener.
Did not work for my Genie Intelicode garage door opener. Seems like a good product, but it did not work on my specific garage door opener. Was not compatible. Also a little expensive in that you need to buy the wifi module as well. Total cost for both items is close to $100. I bought a retrofit kit from Genie for $45 new. The Great Gateway
What a nice product for liftmaster openers, they don't have to be wifi compatible. It allows you to monitor your garage door, open or close it anywhere you have a phone signal(if you are using the app), and alerts you to your garage door being left open. It has the ability to set a TTC or time to close feature on it that is handy if you don't want your garage door open for longer then a few minutes or you forget to close it. The set up instruction are tricky, but go to setup a MyQ account not a standard liftmaster account. The rest is easy after that. Excellent Product - Could use improving in the app functionality
This is a great product, as promised it opens and closes my garage via my phone. I can look on my phone if I think I forgot to close the garage which helps with peace of mind. I get an alert every time my garage is opened and close, I can set a schedule, and I even get the alert on my apple watch which is great! I think that the alert section could use a few more options. What I really want is a setting that will allow an alert to be sent to me after the garage has been open after a period of time, say 10 minutes. Generally I dont just leave my garage open, but sometimes I do. I don't care so much about when it's opened or when it's closed as much as I care about how long it's been standing open and the fact that I need to close it so no one gets in my house. I would like functionality where I recieve an alert that my garage has been open 10 minutes so that if I forgot to close it, I can close it, because I am human and I forget, this would be a great tool. In additional I would like the option to dismiss or snooze the alert similar to a calendar /text/ alarm.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great, excellent service.
The gateway connected to my MyQ openers and worked just like it should. When I first tried to set it up it said that it was registered to another account. I called the service line, was on hold just a few minutes, and the service rep told me how to reset the gateway. He then stayed on the line to walk me through the setup for both doors (about 10 minutes) and everything is working great. The service rep then went on to give me other ideas on how to utilize the features of the app. The gateway works as expected and the service was excellent. The peace of mind knowing you can check to see if you closed the garage door AFTER you get to work.
Getting customized alerts, NO fees, open/close wherever you are, and easy setup (obviously provided you have the correct equipment). Placement: one reviewer said to take your current garage clicker/opener to where you are placing this gateway and if you can open/close with that opener, this will work. It does require a hard internet connection, so most likely will be placing it near your router. When downloading the app, I was first confused why there was two, a blue myQ and a red myQ. Turns out that the blue is for chamberlain and the red for liftmaster. Would have been nice to know, would have saved me a few minutes. I would post pictures, but nothing really to see. Power and ethernet cable plugged into unit. Guess if you wanted to see the pretty blue light.... Liftmaster uses the color of the learn button to differentiate which openers are compatible with your unit. This is my second unit for a different house, my first one I had to order a new wall unit to make my opener myQ compatible. This device is great! I moved in a house with older garage door openers and this device now gives me the access that brand new openers offer. I can access the app from my smartphone and open / close my garage doors from anywhere. The best thing is I can now tell if I have closed my doors from anywhere. So if you get to work and you start thinking "Did I remember to close the garage door when I left?" check the app and in just a few clicks on the app you can have the answer. Fantastic product and easy to setup
This product was a breeze to setup and the iOS app is flawless. I love getting notified when my kids come home from school and open the garage door. Another nice addition to home automation
The MyQ 828LM Internet Gateway is another nice addition to my home automation project. It was super easy to install. It took about 10 minutes to get it up and running. The MyQ app is easy to use and straight forward. Now on my phone I can see when the garage door is open or closed with full history on when it was opened and closed. I can also open and close the garage directly from the MyQ app. The only reason it is not excellent (5 stars) is the lack of inter-connectivity with other home automation service (like Alexa or Google home).
