Best thing ever!
This thing is awesome. I don’t know I didn’t get this sooner. I have an iPhone plus and it’s rather bulky to place on vent or any other mounted thing. A few details of this item
First off, it’s inexpensive so how much could I complain. I had an issue right off the bat when I found out that the clamp doesn’t work well in the cold. Apparently there is dampening on the arms spreading and it doesn’t work properly when cold. I tried to open it and the teeth jumped between the left and right side, it was easily put back in place. One design issue is the release button, it’s down behind the phone when the phone is in the cradle and hard to reach. The base works well and the mast is easily adjusted to your needs. At the end of the day it’s a $10 holder that’s worth what it costs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor Design
The product has a poor design. The clip that comes with it to secure the phone cradle to the ball will not clip into place. I used double-sided 3M tape to attach them together. Another customer used superglue. This is a new product. We shouldn't have to do that; the clip should work. See photo.

Pretty good, but not as solid as it could be.
Product works well, but the 4 "hooks" that secure the main panel to the ball/stick are poorly designed and not secure. I plan on using some super glue to ensure the main panel doesn't come off when I remove the device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

really good product.
I have an older highlander and the cup holders weren’t the molded round kind, but the holder still worked with a little twisting. Would work better in the round ones. Good design but needs some manufacturing tweaking.
Good design that works well for it's intended purpose. Some parts are not engineered well; one of the two tightening "wings" for the base broke off when securing it in place, the two swiveling stops to support the bottom of the phone were loose and would not stay in the upright position and the phone holder attachment to the gooseneck was not secure. In my case, I used black duct tape on the underside instead of permanently glueing it, on this and the two phone bottom support stops, to make the product usable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap poor design and construction
This is no doubt the worse item I've ever purchased on EBay. The concept is good just cheap. The phone holder broke the first time I secured the phone into it. The mechanism was difficult to open and close. Don't buy it you will be disappointed. Packing and shipping were both terrible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mount plate to hard to lock.
Poor engineering of the back mount plate - it won't lock into place.Therefore I could not attach the ball joint mechanism to the phone holder. Eventiually, I had to use tape to make the product usefull.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bounces on any bumps.
The base locks into the cup holder firmly. The clip holds the phone in place well. However as you drive down the road any little bump that you hit allows the phone to bounce so that you cannot read the GPS as you are driving.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
