A really good (smallish) camera.
Not the very best M43 camera, but given its price, I would say probably the best value. Good on stills and video, well built, weather-sealed, and a generously endowed with 'extra' features. You can use it on auto straight out of the box, or read the manual to take full manual control. It has a reasonably easy menu system, and the controls are well placed. My only gripe is the small buttons that are too flat, but they can easily be modified to make them much more responsive. All in all, if you want a sophisticated camera that will take interchangeable lenses, and don't want to carry the weight of an APSC or full-frame camera system, the Panasonic G80/85 is one of the best options at a reasonable price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

A vloggers dream!
The Panasonic G80 is a Vloggers dream camera in many ways. It may not have the Canon dual pixel auto focus or the Canon Colours that are so highly praised but what it does have is a very particular set of skills.... Skills that make it a dream for people like me! The image quality is incredible for such a small sensor. The images I have taken with this so far are stunning and when taken RAW and put into light room they come to life. The 1080p footage is some of the best I have seen but the 4K! WOW. I sat in my garden and I took a random video of a squirrel eating some peanuts on a whim. The 4K coupled with the in body image stabilisation made this footage like something from Planet Earth, I expected Attenborough to pop up and start narrating. The camera is definitely feature packed with WiFi and a brilliant app for remote use via a smart phone. You can also convert RAW in camera and then send by WiFi to your phone for social media. I bought this camera for the purposes of filming conventions and also as a high quality web cam for YouTube streams. I am awaiting a CamLink 4K which I am confident will work because even though the camera has a 29.59 minute record maximum, it does have the ability to turn off the auto shutdown and it will happily sit there outputting clean video via the micro HDMI. The FN keys are highly customisable so you can use back button focus which is a life saver as the auto focus on this is a bit hit and miss. It is.... good! But compared to Canon and Sony it is definitely trailing behind. But that being said it still does work fine enough for random Vlogs and what not. If I use this as I will to make short films I will use manual focus anyway and that is all down to my skill! The IBIS coupled with the native lens stabilisation is just mind blowing. It feels like, with the right movements and steady hands, having the camera on a gimbal. It is quite impressive. Overall I think the camera for the price is utterly staggering and I would not hesitate to recommend it to future Vloggers or those looking to upgrade from a point and shoot to a swappable lens system. There are a million other things I could mention but I have rambled on long enough! If you do buy this camera you won't be disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Decent Camera
Works great as an upgrade to the Lumix G7. This now allows HDMI connections to the monitor while recording so the viewview monitor does not switch off after 30 seconds with HDMI input. The kit lens is a welcome upgrade to the kit lens on the Lumix G7. Also it does do 4K 50FPS as the G7 could not do this. Would recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
