Toasts bread perfectly
This toaster does exactly what it should - it toasts bread evenly and for this it gets 5 stars. However, I gave it 4 stars overall because, as suggested in several reviews, its slots are just that bit too narrow to use for hot cross buns. I tend to use sourdough or homemade bread which do not have tall slices, so I have no problem with the "vertical" toasting area. It's good value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK, looks good, toaster slots too shallow.
The product works well and has all the facilties described. Unlike our previous toasters the slots are too shallow to take conventional English sliced bread - the tops of the slices stick up when the mechanism is lowered to toast. We are experimenting with setting the toaster at half our usual value, then inverting the slices and toasting again. Ideally the machine should be left to cool between cycles, but we don't wait for that. As far as I can see no toaster specs from any manufacturer give depth of slot measurements, so other toasters may be the same, but we've never had this problem before - going back forty years or more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A very good all round toaster for the price by today's cost of living standards!
This toaster does everything expected of it without paying the earth for it. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a carriage raise option to make removing the toast easier when its hot. Wow a toaster with a bun rack!
Smart toaster with clean lines, fits into a narrow shelf where my 2 slice toaster fitted; if you use the bun rack as a plate warmer whilst you are toasting beware it doesn't eject and knock your plates off!; having said that, it is an excellent replacement for my Kenwood 2 slice model! Good Toaster
This toaster looks good and performs well. The height as usual is an issue with all the toasters and if the breads are inserted vertically the top does not toast, so you have to put breads horizontally. If you insert breads horizontally, then only 2 can fit. The long slots are helpful, especially if you are heating pittas and half cut tortillas. Both slots start when the toaster is on, there is no way you can start only one slot. Overall good toaster, looks robust and cleaning is easy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Two slices only
Very well made toaster. The only problem is like virtually every toaster on the market it will not take a standard British sliced loaf without the top of the slice standing at least an inch above the toaster. Cleaning brushed stainless steel
