The Stanley 0-43-609 FatMax Torpedo level is 10 inches in length with 3 vials and has a V groove machined in the magnetic base, which allows it to fit firmly on pipe work, ideal for scaffolders, plus it is also perfect for installing machinery, air conditioning ducting or shelving. Its features include a precision engineered die-cast lightweight aluminium body for amazing strength and solid-block acrylic vials for best-in-class accuracy. Plus every FatMax XL level comes with a lifetime accuracy warranty. In addition to this the level has a magnified centre vial. The centre vial is also 20% larger than standard, making it clearer to read. Super strong rare earth magnets give it twice the magnetic pull of conventional magnetic levels. The perfect tool for many jobs - 180 degree rotating.

Very sturdy and great features.
I very much like the design and functionality. It does everything you may want from a level as a weekend DIY ninja. It's not the most lightweight, but that's not an issue for me because I don't carry it around for long. It is however very sturdy and I'm not worried that the bubble capsules will shatter if e.g. I'll accidentally drop it. I expect I'll not need to buy a level ever again. Don't think about it - Just buy it !
This is an excellent spirit level ! Short spirit levels seem to get overlooked by most manufactures - cheap plastic bodies / small bubble windows etc The Stanley Torpedo level is made to a high quality with a metal body and large clear bubbles. So it has more in common with long spirit levels which professionals use. I was so pleased with this product, I bought one for my son ! Small sturdy well made level.
It looks good, feels good in the hand nice and sturdy not too lightweight and the magnets on the bottom are strong too takes a firm tug to pull off of a metal surface so no worries of it just falling off on its own. Need a small level? This one will do pipework and has built in magnets for steelwork.

It's a well made and accurate compact level with the usual fixed horizontal and vertical glasses. The third glass is adjustable between 0 and 90 deg which is useful. The magnetic base, acts as a handy "third hand" holding the level securely to metal work but could be a hinderance in some environments as other tools and fixings will also stick to it.
