Easy to use and clean. Great results.

A far better device than the last model I had by a different manufacturer. And it still takes the pots from the other device. A nice bonus. I prefer to use plain set yogurt to be the starter and it seems to be perfect every time. I would recommend this to people who prefer to do things in the kitchen themselves. I hope to have many a years good service from this item.

Not the best yoghourt maker I have ever had but it does the job

I have used previous yoghourt makers and this one is not as good. It has a little groove around the bottom of the inside of the jar, so you have to get a sharp instrument into it to clean it. The thread on the outside top of the jars also traps yoghourt, so you need to pay special attention to cleaning that thoroughly. My previous yoghourt maker was more compact (smaller surface area, higher) but that isn't a fault. I should have read the details before I bought this one. The lid is not very high and the screw thread is relatively small, so the lids are not water-tight. If you are slightly clumsy putting the filled jars into the maker then the milk will leak out. The yoghourt appears to go from not quite ready to separating (heated for too long) very quickly. Though that may improve with time and experience. It does the job but I am not totally happy with it.

  • Compact and efficient

Bought this during lockdown so I could make double the amount of yogurt. I have a vintage yogurt maker which still works fine. The von Shelf one has bigger glasses so it goes further and it's very easy to operate. It doesn't take up much space and uses very little electricity. My old one has an instruction booklet with the exact quantities to use. This one describes different ways of making it but doesn't give quantities.

  • Electric yogurt maker

Like my machine very much, the only little critisism is instruction book could do with being more informative has to Milk to culture ratio I've been little hit & miss with texture it is all still edible, I look on the Internet for advise but usually US sites they use cups we do not,

  • Easy to use just boil some milk leave it...

Easy to use just boil some milk leave it till its tepid add yoghurt mix. Then add to jars. Easy really but could do with better instructions and recipe suggestions. If like myself you have never mad yoghurt it easy but the option are endless and it must be better than the ultra processed shop yoghurt.

  • Plastic free yoghurt

I bought this for 2 reasons ok 3 if I consider £‘s. I have yoghurt everyday for breakfast with single use yoghurt cartons now only from the milk bottle. Cost saving is amazing. First making my thermometer broke and I got everything wrong despite that great yoghurt. Subsequent making really simple now I understand what I’m doing better. I’m also able to buy milk in bulk at the shops saves having to go to often

  • Working nice, but they don't have replacement jars.

Is working good, looks nice. I have made nice narine yoghurt. There is one problem, the jars are not available to buy. Now I know 7 jars is not enough for me and what if some of them will brake?

  • Love it!

Honestly can fault it. I love it. Since I have it, I make home yogurt every week, sometimes twice a week. I no longer buy yogurt. Super simple to use. Definitely recommend it!
