The Sony α (alpha) DSLR-A900 is packed with features. This flagship DSLR is the first α (alpha) to incorporate a 35mm full frame image sensor and 24.6-megapixel resolution. It also incorporates the world's first body-integrated, full-size SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization technology. You'll also experience a larger capture area, improved wide-angle performance and tighter depth of field control with the full frame Exmor CMOS image sensor. Equipped with Dual BIONZ imaging processors, the alpha A900 delivers continuous shooting up to 5 fps with ultra-low noise. The A900 also offers a large, ultra-bright glass pentaprism viewfinder with 100 percent coverage, a 3.0-inch Xtra Fine LCD display, and HDMI output with PhotoTV HD compatibility. The A900 features a 35mm full frame Exmor CMOS image sensor. The result is a larger capture area, improved wide angle performance, and tighter depth of field control. In addition, its 24.6MP resolution maximizes the resolving power of your existing lenses and delivers sharper, higher contrast photos. The A900 provides direct HDMI output to your BRAVIA HDTV and other compatible HDTV screens, so you can view and share photos in breath-taking clarity and detail. Additionally, PhotoTV HD capable BRAVIA HDTVs will automatically optimize display settings, such as sharpness, gradation, and colour to display your images in a way that matches the natural look of printed photographs. The A900 features an impressive design befitting a premium flagship model. The A900 also incorporates a distinctive cinnabar-coloured ring circling the lens mount.

SONY FULL FRAME CAMERA
Just bought this superb a900 (6,700 shutter count) and Sony grip on eBay for a little under £800. Very impressed with the feel and the build quality. I've taken around 80 shots so far on full auto and very pleased with the results. The 9 point AF system is more than adequate and works surprisingly with my 20 year old 300mm lens. The same goes for the 'steady shot system' which has allowed me to hand hold at 300mm and get consistently sharp results. With the grip attached the camera is quite a weight but well balanced. I've been a Minolta user since 1987 when I bought the 7000. Over the years I progressed owning all the 7 & 8 series cameras. I still have a 700i and 800i bodies. I also own Sony's a77, a77ii, and a58 cameras with 14 lenses, and 2 APO teleconverters. Myfavourite lenses being Minolta 300mm f4 and 50mm 1.4.

First off it has no video function no bad thing because it packs a full photo function to satisfy the most demanding situation the best camera for Minolta , Minolta Konica A Mount, 35mm film lenses and Sony A Mount lenses. Some of the old G lenses still hold their own against the current lenses at a fraction of the price
