Restaurant charcole it's not!
It not as good as The Makro restaurant charcoal there is way to much dust/very small pieces in the bag, ok it has some big pieces but there is way to much stuff you will not be able to use. As you will see from the photos it not good quality, All I did was to take a few handfuls out of the top of the bag, what it is like further down the bag I don't know, it could be all dust/small pieces but from what I have found I would think 20% to 30% of it is of no use, it looks as if they have made the charcoal and just shoveled it up in to the bag rather than sieving out the junk. I will not be buying again and would not recommend it. I have said yes to "easy to use, heat evenly and easy to clean" however, I have not yet used it so I am not 100% sure. This must be the first item I have had to give such a bad report.

Good mix of charcoal
This is a very large bag of charcoal that is supplied in a plastic weaved sack and delivered in a large plastic dustbin bag. Upon opening, it was noticeable that the charcoal was of good grade, however I'd say the mixture of large and smaller pieces were few and far between as it seems 70% is mostly very small pieces - smaller than 1inch/3cm - with about 10% large chunks and the rest assorted. It is a nice burning charcoal however, but somewhat tiresome to pick through the smaller bits to get to the larger sized coal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Restaurant Charcoal? - or is it?
Charcoal arrived promptly. For restaurant grade I expected most to be larger lumps and the quality could be higher. Appears to be mostly light soft wood with a high percentage of small bits. Purchased three large bags. Each bag has a significant amount of fragmented and dust charcoal which is unusable and has to be thrown away.

Burns well, to much dust
Positive: it burns nice and hot, obviously it takes longer to get fully up to heat as there is no chemicals. Major negative: the bag is full of little bits including loads of charcoal dust.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lights fast, burns hot!
I BBQ every couple of days and have tried many different varieties of coal but this is some of the best I have used. It lights quick without any sparks and burns very hot. ok but not restaurant grade
i don't know if was unlucky with this batch but i had the following two problems: 1: there are lots of small pieces, not really restaurant grade; a qarter/fifth of the bag is just brittle/dust 2: this coal gets really hot but it is dufficult to keep it burning, it requires constant air being blown to the coal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
