need a little TLC
The greatest hand console to date. The graphics and sounds are on par with a home console. The games are fantastic. huge library with very diverse games for kids and adults. whether you like sports, action, adventure, or puzzles. If you are a commuter this is a must have to kill time, and great for the casual gamer. As of 2016 the NDS is cheep and the games are also cheep. great value. if you live in a small place this is all you would need as far as a gaming console. the only downside is how to hold it and if you are too rough you can break the folding hinge, or damage the screens.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

for the price, can't complain.
It is still a great system for the price! I can just buy downloadable games for my kids or purchase a ecard on the Nintendo shop but I must say am disappointed that the game cartridge slot is not reading ANY games I put in it. all it says is an error has occurred and shuts down, had I known that. I would not have purchased it. next time I will try a game before I write any review. I was so happy when it arrived that I just powered it on and off to make sure it comes on, I shouldn't have waited a day to actually put a game in it and check that all was working. still overall? for the price? good system....

fun for long car rides & wait times
I got this for myself to enjoy when I have to ride out of town and I'm not 🚗 driving it comes in handy as well as when I am driving and have to wait for someone to go to a Appointment and or just having to wait a long period of time to be seen like DMV or traffic court. Both screens look really nice, though I did wish the top screen was a bit brighter, seems a little less than the bottom one. This is my first DS system and I’m honestly glad I did my research and went with this one. The screen is big and easy to see. I wasn’t expecting the DS Ware to be out of business so that was a bit of a bummer but no biggie. Still good
I just got this console a few weeks ago and it may not have 3D but it is still a great portable system. With classics like Zelda and Mario this device entertains for hours. Excellent system great price!
I think if you're going to purchase a ds you need to get a xl . the screen is so much easier to see!!! The system I purchased came with 5 games plus titles on the system itself for a great price. It was a anniversary gift from my husband and I love it so much. The seller got it to me very quickly in nice packaging. It included the original box. I would recommend the Nintendo dsi xl to anyone who like mario or fun easy to play games.
