  • Stupid Joke turns into Buried Treasure

I had a friend from out of state planning to visit, someone who has a "thing" for Dominicans. I noticed this coffee at a grocers mixed-in with a lot of other cheap brands. That it was from Santa Domingo struck me as funny, so I got a can as a joke gift for my guest. Said guest never showed up, and this joke coffee sat in a dark closet for months. One day, I said to myself, well you might as well try it before you throw it out. Turns out, the joke was on me, because this coffee was delicious. I began buying it on a regular basis, delighted that such a great coffee was so inexpensive. After about 18 months the store dropped that brand. None of the other upscale stores in my neighborhood carried these cheaper brands, so my great coffee was out of my life. One day I tracked down my mysterious brew, and found it available on-line. Hooray! However, I was struck dumb by how costly the product was, maybe four times more than what I was used to paying. I had to move my low-rent Joe over to the premium brands. I still enjoy my Dominican delight, but more as something special rather than something regular. For my latest birthday, a friend blessed me with eight bags of island joy. Good choice! Much appreciated.

  • Still Great After All These Years.

I have tasted coffee from all over the world and have roasted my own for several years. I first tried this coffee back in 2001 while doing a project in D.R. and was impressed by its 'genuine' taste and quality of the product. It is still a great coffee. The aroma, oh the aroma. I usually blend it with Guatemala 2:1 (2 of Guatemala: 1 of Santo Domingo) and the result is a smooth yet very flavorful cup with low acidity and a pleasant finish. It's so good, that I have taken a break from roasting and grinding my own. Enjoy!

  • Soooo good!

My fiancé and I just got back from the Dominican where we had this coffee every day. When we got home, our coffee simply wasn't good enough. I immediately did a search to find where I could buy this and eBay had it. Once I got it I was in heaven!

My son brought this coffee home from his mission trip and I fell in love with it. So glad to find it on eBay at a reasonable price.

  • Great Coffee!

This has been my everyday coffee for a few years. It's a coffee of good quality that tastes great, but isn't overly strong.

  • Best coffee.

I've been hesitant to order. Thinking I would not be as good as in the Dominican. Boy was I wrong. It's awesome. As long as this is available I won't have to drink subpar Starbucks. Thank you!
