Underpowered but adequate for the small shrubs it is intended for
I purchased this because I already have the battery and charger with my Worx Cordless drill and it seemed a good idea for them to get a little more use than they do. From that point of view I am happy with this small shear. It is also lightweight which is a significant plus point for me. Based on my usage of the drill I expected it to be more powerful than it is, so to me it feels quite underpowered. If I had a lot of shrubs to topiarise I would want something more powerful, however I have only about 7 small topiary balls to maintain a couple of times a year along with a couple of short sections of low hedging and it is perfectly adequate for my needs. Great for keeping everything neat and tidy in the garden.
Because it's still winter I havent properly used but given a 'dry run'. The product looks extremely well made and it is easy to interchange the cutters (grass to hedge and vice versa). This is tool only so you will need the battery pack and charger which I have as I already have the Worx pressure washer and the multi inflator for my car tyres. I also discovered they do a long reach handle for the grass cutter so I bought one of these too, a very handy addition which avoids bending and stooping. I have tried this shear and it is a great bit of kit. I also purchased the extension handle which is also very handy if you want to use the shear from a standing position, however the shear connected to the handle without a problem but I found it quite difficult to separate the two and it took me a about 10 minutes before I could get them apart.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
