Impressed with options and picture quality.
I am very pleased with the Sony Alpha A33. I have been using a simple point and shoot, but I wanted an SLR (or in this case an SLT) for the features of a more advanced camera and the better picture quality. This camera is old, made in 2010, but the owner rarely used it, so it was relatively pristine. Lots of custom settings and user features make the camera quite useful, such as specific focus for macro, scenery, etc. It can shoot in bursts, I think 7 shots in one second. The most notable difference though is in the picture quality. Way better than a point and shoot camera. What I don't like - relatively little, but I feel I should mention. 1. Grabbing the left side always seems to press a button, unintentionally. 2. Bulkier than a little point-and-shoot. 3. Need to change lenses for telephoto.

Excellent camera
What a fantastic under rated camera. I coupled it with a Minolta 100-300 APO zoom and never missed a shot. Focus is quick and accurate, even taking photos of moving subjects. I was taking photos of the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive and every shot was in focus, very impressed with this camera. Would be an excellent travel camera with the kit zoom and the price is right.
