The Nikon COOLPIX 995 3.2MP digital camera captures high-definition images with resolutions of 2048 by 1536 pixels, allowing you to create sharp, clear prints up to 11 inches by 14 inches in size. This Nikon camera has built-in auto settings to cover almost any situation you might face when taking photos. Advanced photographers who want to create special effects by choosing the settings themselves can also take full manual control. Photographers of all abilities should be able to take amazing photos with this COOLPIX camera.In macro mode, you can get as close to your subject as 0.8 inches. A self-timer with a delay of three or 10 seconds gives the photographer time to slip into group shots. An optional remote control allows you to use the camera for time-lapse photography. Noise reduction reduces unwanted artifacts during longer exposure times. You can also shoot QuickTime movies of up to 40 seconds long with this camera. Use Quick Review and the 1.8-inch LCD display to simultaneously view a scene while confirming the last photo taken. LED backlighting makes viewing the LCD display easy. The built-in pop-up flash has a range of 32.8 feet. It has a fill-in setting, a sync delay, and a setting that helps to reduce red-eye. You can connect this COOLPIX camera to up to five external Nikon Speedlight flashes with the built-in multiflash sync terminal. Another creative feature of the Nikon COOLPIX cameras is that the lens side of the camera swivels. That means you can shoot pictures from almost any creative angle you choose and still use the viewfinder to frame the shot. When the Nikon COOLPIX 995 camera reaches the 90-degree angle, it can be locked to stay in place. The real image optical zoom viewfinder includes diopter adjustment. Parallax correction lines mark where the top corner of the frame will be when you are shooting up close. It also brackets the focus area, which is the area the Nikon camera will meter to automatically adjust the camera's settings. When using autofocus, you can choose between spot focus or five area multifocus. This digital camera gives you an impressive amount of creative exposure control.Nikon's 4x Zoom NIKKOR 8-32-millimeter optical lens is equivalent to a 38-152-millimeter zoom lens on a 35-millimeter camera. The COOLPIX camera also provides an additional 4x digital zoom to bring subjects even closer. The 28-millimeter threaded lens ring on this COOLPIX model allows you to easily attach Nikon lenses and accessories to customize your shooting experience. The white balance settings on the Nikon COOLPIX 995 automatically compensate for various lighting situations. Advanced photographers can use the manual to set the white balance themselves. The shutter speed ranges from a maximum of 1/2300 of a second to a minimum of eight seconds, allowing you to capture a wide range of scenes from sporting events to landscapes.The COOLPIX camera stores images on a 16MB Type I/II CompactFlash memory card. It has a tripod mount and a USB port for connecting to either MACs or PCs. This Nikon camera measures 5.4 inches by 3.2 inches by 1.6 inches and weighs 13.8 ounces without the battery for easy portability.
