This unit was damaged but will be reworked . If working properly a most effective tuner very right on the mark. First of it's kind for this strob method of tuning. Growing up see it on stage and reharsal spaces as well as guitar repairmen benches. Headstock strob tuners are portable but not on spec mark of complete tuning.Conn is legendary IAM happy the right company Petersen took it over. Vintage Conn ST-11 Type 001 Strobotuner better than a cellphone for tuning a piano.
Using this to tune a piano works better for me than an app on a cell phone. On the top octave of a piano the various Apps seem to jump around and you can't tell what you're tuning. This strobo unit sits there and you can see where the tuning is at for a given key. As with any older test equipment, you could have a few things to fix.
