Additionally, this compact digital camera also features Face Detection Technology with Face Select and Track and Face Detection White Balance that allows you to select a single face among a group of 35 detected faces and gives you precise and clear pictures. The DIGIC III Image Processor with Noise Reduction Technology gives you sharp images at high resolutions. The Canon PowerShot 10 MP camera comes with a 2.5-inch PureColor LCD II screen and an autofocus function that gives you clearer pictures even in low-light conditions. Surprisingly good
While 10 megapixels isn't high by today's standards I have made very large prints from this camera that look better than cameras with twice this rated resolution. My first one was lost (stolen?) and after testing several others I purchased a used 890 to replace it. Only downside is no HD video, but I got this for stills. This is be my third Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH SD890 IS Camera. I love it's quality, size, versatility and reliability. The first I gave to my husband after he swam across a river while camping. Believe it or not the camera worked perfectly, after completely drying. So I purchased the 2nd for myself and enjoyed it for many years, until it recently (within the last 8 months) began to malfunction and provide less than desirable photos. I decided to stick with this camera and purchase another since it's so light, easy to use( point & shoot), has a decent zoom and quick shutter speed to capture action shots. I am thrilled to have this fully functioning gem in my hands. By the way - all of the cameras were purchased on ebay. great replacement
This camera replaced an earlier model Canon camera that does not take the HC SD cards. It had an awesome macro which I need to use. This updated version, although not the newest one is as wonderful as the first one. Has not been abused and I was able to find a silicone skin for it on eBay. Excellent reconditioned camera.
I have a Nokia smart phone with a 10 mp lens. This camera out performs my smart phone by leaps and bounds. The camera is small enough that it fits in my shirt pocket. I bought this reconditioned camera because I dropped and damaged the SD 890 camera that I bought years ago.
