Mapac Choir Folder
I have Bought a number of these now for a few choirs that I'm in & also purchased them for other choir members.The folders not only look professional that help you look professionally organised as well. The only downside is that earlier versions of the folder it seems that the cords inside iwere elasticated allowing for thicker multiple page pieces of music. The other 6 Choir Members who asked me to purchased them are very pleased with them happy also,apart from for the above point,however, saying that I purchased a few yards of thin elastic cord for 36p from a haberdashery store and quite easily added it to the existing chords.Inc buying extra elastic it was still far cheaper then and the price that some places charge for the folders in the first instance. Not an ideal choir folder
This is not a good choir folder. I actually was looking for one where you can slip your hand through a clear acrylic handle on the spine, had pockets inside, and a ribbon attaching both sides to keep it from flipping wide open. Good value and good product. 2 design improvements will make it more than 5 stars. First is, the strings holding the music scores should be replaced with Milliners elastic. Otherwise very difficult to slip the music scores through the strings which are tight of course. Second is a minor improvement; the pen/pencil holder should be tighter than it is as it cannot hold a standard pencil. It's too loose and pencil Falls through it. Singing its praises.
I'm impressed by this. Having newly joined our community choir I was unsure of which black folder to buy, it fits the bill perfectly. A pouch at the back to store extra music booklets or sheets and a broad strip on the inside of the front cover which I've not actually worked out the reason for exactly but will probably be used to store more booklets/sheets. Also on the back cover, a clear plastic window with a card to write your name on and an elasticated loop for your pencil. The 10 strings running down the centre of the inside to hold onto your booklets could do with some elastic in them as they are a bit unwieldy and awkward to separate if your dexterity leaves a lot to be desired. A strong elastic loop and metal peg close this well made and fairly sturdy folder without it being heavy or bulky and the elasticated carrying strap on the spine makes holding it whilst singing a lot easier on arthritic thumbs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
