How to snack without the additives, affordably, silently.
I wanted to make my own beef jerky and dried mango for long road trips. A healthy energy filled treat. This dehydrator delivers on point locking in flavour, and all the goodness. The instructions were useful, so I dipped my fruit in lemon juice to keep its colour and wow they gloriously retain their vibrancy! These snacks are cheaper than supermarket, but convenient to make too. Just prep it up after work, turn it on, and go about your business, leave it on overnight in lowest setting and they’re ready to pack and eat in the morning! I add the thicker cuts of beef in the lower racks so I don’t even need to rotate the trays. It was worth getting this model for the energy rating A. I can have it on low for 15 hours plus and it barely makes a dent with my energy bills. Highly recommended for fitness and nutrition geeks!

A bit disappointed
The top doesn't fit properly and everything on the lower shelves is dehydrated more than what is on the top shelf. I think it is because the heat is let out of the poor fitting top. I got it with great enthusiasm for dehydrating potato fries beetroot slices sweet potato chickpeas etc. have only thrown them all away after making as not good. some items were ok the very moment you took them out of the dehydrator. It's a must in any kitchen !
It is very easy to use. The notice gives some good indications about general temperatures and timings for each category of foods. The absence of a timer is not a problem. I just use the clock on my watch. I use it a lot at night so dehydration happens when sleeping and no one in the kitchen. This is my first experience and given the price it is a huge value for money. I have a whole list of YouTube demonstrations. I live in different places across the world and I will buy one for each. Great value for money and will save me money preserving food.
The price compared to other dehydrators is amazing. I suppose this is because you have to keep rotating the trays, but even so it seems to work really well and dries things in the suggested times as stated. My nephew loved collecting pineapple wees and making tea we alos dried some wild cherries for biscuits. I would recommend this product. Good results with drying apples

So I’ve dehydrated fruit and meat and the meat was done fairly quickly but Jesus the fruit takes a long time.most time tables say 6-12 hours for fruit but I’ve had mine running at just under 60c for 24 hours and my pineapple and starawberries are only half way done and I only cut them thinly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
