Really have not used it yet so I can't give a 'creditable' type of review. Previous posted reviews have said it is 'not' the last word in image quality but given it's price category, does't surprise me. It's overal size, weight and handling comfort seems to be very good. Of course, having a 'fixed' non removable lens limits your photo options. After MANY years and 200,000+ photos, my first DMC-FZ40 finally gave out, primarily due to subjecting it to moisture by accident.
