This camera takes excellent pictures for me. I am not commenting on the Optics or anything else. Because I am not an expert on this subject. However in a side-by-side comparison to a similar Nikon camera the Sony takes better indoor pictures. This is a good camera
I like this camera it takes good pictures & videos. I like the fact that unlike allot of cyber shot cameras you can zoom in on video mode. Also it takes 3D pictures but I have had a chance to view them in 3D. On the down side it doesn't shoot in the various modes like Black & White Sepia etc. Also I don't know if it's a defect of this model or the previous owner broke something in it because the camera keeps draining the battery even when I haven't used it. I learned that I had already purchased a new one for my wife a few years ago. Age includes forgetfulness. I'm on a trip with this new camera now.
