Drama directed by Christian Marnham and starring Raymond Adamson. When a young woman accompanies her friend to a village cricket match in which he is competing she soon becomes bored and wanders off on her own. When she finds herself at the local railway station she is invited to share some tea by the old, hunchbacked station keeper but when the old man's feeble-minded assistant abruptly returns to the station she becomes uncomfortable and decides to leave. Before she can return to the cricket match and her friend however, she once again encounters the station master's troubled young assistant.

  • The Orchard End Murders.

I was intrigued to see what acting performance an adult Tracey Hyde gave (after Melody) and the sight of a young Clive Mantle who was destined for greater things was interesting. Acquired taste (violent rape and murder) although tame by modern standards, i would suggest.
