Picky but great talk-and-text handset
This is a great handset for talk and text. It is light, compact, and durable. Battery life is very good. It is however a 2G phone so the data performance is very poor to begin with, and now that most if not all carriers have dropped or will drop soon their 2G coverage it cannot be used for data at all. This means that the phone is not usable for either Internet or MMS. Talk and text messages work great though. One should also know that the phone is picky when it comes to (modern?) SIM cards. Some of them will simply refuse to work. Simptoms include the dreaded "preemptive command rejected b y ME" or the handset not finding any GSM network.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great phone but....
This is a light well designed phone that is easy to carry and use. Please be aware though that it is a 2G phone and not a 3G phone. AT&T no longer supports 2G. Your option now is Tmobile based providers, which is what I am using. In reviewing articles it appears that 2G, even for Tmobile, will be around for about 2 more years. Clam shell design a plus
My husband had a cell phone which had no cover. He continually had the phone turned off, or some other problem when carrying it in his pocket. He complained so much, that I bought this phone for him.
