charcaters worn off old keyboard and I'm not a touch typist, this fixes that problem
Its a nice new keyboard with a new red nub. The old one worked but 5 or 6 of the keys were missing their characters. Highly prefer this layout over the one on the T450 I use at work. Easy to install but it took me a little fiddling with the ribbon cable to line it up on the connector. Now my used T420 looks like new!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sticky, gummy keys. Bad refurbish job.
The product looks good at a glance. However, the keys were gummy and difficult to press. Spacebar comes back up extremely slowly after a press, and makes typing a painful ordeal. Palpable improvement over the stock (Alps?) keyboard.
I presume this model has Chicony switches. Feels palpably better than the stock (Alps?) model I bought my X220 with. The trackpoint is mote sensible, the keys are springier, no flex anywhere (my stock keyboard has a great deal of flex under the arrow keys).
