I have sampled licorice from all over the world. Many other brands of licorice don't get the texture or flavor right. Darrell and Lea brand is some the best tasting I have ever had. I guess I have to be a real jerk with this product. It is not for everyone! I tried 5 or 6 different brands of licorice (which I really love) and could not find a single 'Australian' brand that was anywhere near delicious or even good! Enjoy the flavor, it is good with licorice content.
I use Lysine & Black Licorice in combination as decongestants for my lungs, the lysine assists in reducing diarrhea that can result from the licorice extract & anise. For the flavor this is not as sweet as candy that has some licorice flavoring added, instead each section of the chew is licorice flavored with a softer sweetness of real licorice included.
