The Sony HVR-Z1E Professional 1080i combines a long list of consumer-oriented features in a compact size, making it an ideal choice for professionals. The Sony HVR-Z1E camcorder offers the performance and quality of high definition while retaining ease of use and i.LINK connectivity. A simple switch on this HDV/DVCAM camcorder allows flexibility, enabling the user to choose the preferred format between High Definition and Digital Video, and a built-in converter takes the video format back to Standard Definition whenever required. The Sony HVR-Z1E Professional 1080i features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T zoom lens with auto and manual focus in addition to a stereo-type microphone with noise-reduction mode. Another switch allows the system in the Sony HVR-Z1E camcorder to be turned from PAL to NTSC standards and back, in order to allow productions on a worldwide basis without the need of separate devices. This HDV/DVCAM camcorder supports professional tasks with Time Code and user settings, and it allows users to choose either a color display or black-and-white display on the viewfinder. The frequently-used functions can be memorized and assigned to six push buttons on the Sony HVR-Z1E Professional 1080i.

Sony hvr-z1e
An excellent camera. It is old, but believe me, much more better than some of the so called modern cameras. Though it is tape based, it has all it takes in a professional camera. This is a professional camera indeed. You just can't beat it.
