Action thriller in which Bruce Willis is The Jackal, a deadly assassin with the ability to transform his appearance beyond recognition to elude capture. The FBI are anxious to catch this ruthless villain who has been hired to eliminate a senior member of the US government. But when conventional methods of tracking the gun-for-hire prove fruitless, they enlist the help of Declan Mulqueen (Richard Gere), an imprisoned underground operative with his own reasons for finding The Jackal. As the assassin's imposed deadline approaches, Mulqueen and the FBI face a tense race against time to find, and stop, this deadly assailant.
