      Great substitute for Cast Iron

      I love the heat distribution afforded by this skillet. I have arthritis and can no longer use cast iron skillets, but this one does the job with less weight. The long handle helps me to be able to lift it more easily, too.

      Lodge has done it again

      I have only cooked in cast iron for years......and I have lodge cast iron, among others......but this carbon steel skillet heats faster and cook, both on the stove top and oven, as well as my cast iron.....but is only half the weight.....kudo's to Lodge....again !!!!!!

      Gets the job done. Good value

      It works great. It will not win any beauty contests. The texture is intentionally left rough. Eggs don't slide around but they also don't stick. Feels like cast iron but easier to maneuver. The handle is longer and feels more natural.
