The black one, like this, is not as black as it appears -- it's more black nickel, not jet black. However, I use a black mechanics permanent marker to blacken the jack and nuts more, and it turns out looking very good -- very black. And, the mechanics permanent markers do not come off without chemicals or abrasion. So, the color stays.
