    Not light entertainment, acting is superb, tear jerker

    I am a big fan of Anthony Hopkins and the books of C. S. Lewis. I love Joy. This is a film about despair and then hope which triumphs in the lives of a small boy and his step father. The film has morals and lessons to be learned. Clives observation on the reason he prays constantly and his thoughts about concealling his love for Joy are very memorable. The fellow pompus Oxford Dons deserve your dislike and disapproval. Should be compulsory viewing for anyone who thinks they have got it made and are bullet proof.

    I bought this film as part of a Christmas present for my brother. I have marked yes regarding good value, entertaining and characters. I saw this film when it first came out and was very impressed so I'm quite sure he will like it as much as I did
