    LUSTER LEAF 1840 RAPITEST Soil Plant Garden PH Sensor Meter Tester Test Testing

    This item is so easy to use ! Just take it out of the package and insert it into the soil and WAM ! get your reading on your soil that your testing. Its very accurate and easy to clean. Just wipe the end off with a rag and then store until the next use.

    Garbage

    Tried in three very different soil types, followed directions, moist soil + clean tip (new anyway). Reads 7 every time. You would be better off putting a "Post It Note on a stick" and writing your favorite ph level on there and just trust that. I bought a chemical soil sample test kit also. Side by side testing verifies that this probe is absolute garbage.

    Doesn't work

    Well, it's my own fault for purchasing this item. I had read the reviews that it does not work properly. Indeed it does not. I tried using the little Brillo pad it came with on the tip, sandpaper, etc. I followed all the directions very carefully. The meter moves a little bit every time you put it into the soil and then goes right back to 7. This product does not work. Buyer beware.

    testing procdure

    The testing process is more involved than just pushing the probe into soil. Requires removing top soil digging further into the soil and placing that into a container adding water to solidify the soil removing excess water then placing probe into the prepared soil in several places to get readings MOST PICTURES LEAVE THE IMPRESSION YOU JUST STICK THE PROBE IN THE SOIL TO GET A READING. .

    Great for soil pH tests

    Bought this for our vegetable and flower gardens - Works great as long as you follow the directions! Take a small sample of dirt and put it in distilled water.. That gives you the accurate pH test of the soil.. Most people expect to just put this in the soil and it won't work.. Just follow the instructions for excellent results.
