Though no fault of the seller,the lid is made of very cheap and brittle plastic,so it is liable to split when opening,as it did on my tubs.

Sprinkle it down before frost or snow arrives and you will be frost/snow free. It does not work if you use it like rock salt on snow or ice to defrost.
