      As far as I can see a good buy

      A far as I can see this is a genuine part. Charged it and used straight away on B and D hedge clipper. Went for about the same time as the original battery, so all good.

      The jury is still out

      Hope this replacement battery last longer than the original which made just two strimming seasons before starting to fail. It refused to charge fully before finally refusing to charge at all. The Bosch batteries on my lawnmower, by contrast, are still going strong after 10 years of much more frequent use.

      Charged the battery for about 45 mins before the charger showed the cycle complete. Then attached it to the device (strimmer) to confirm operation. Given that it was new, I wasn't expecting any issues. Leaving the old one in the garage attached to the strimmer summer & winter probably hastened the degradation, so I will keep this one in the house at room temperature.

      The battery is part of a great B&D system of gardening tools. I purchased a strimmer, hedge clippers and a lawnmower. I would recommend the strimmer and the hedge clippers but not the lawnmower.
