  • Most favourable review

Very handy glue, with a wider range of uses than indcated.

This product is marketed for people who build and repair model aeroplanes. As a woodworker I have found many more uses for this product. It is very good for repairing difficult to reach cracks in joints. The glue is very thin, and runs into the cracks, without the need to open the fault too much. Because it is slightly elastic, it can absorb stresses and shocks better than the harder and more brittle superglue. I think it would be good to advertise this product for much wider purposes than just for model aeroplanes!

  • Most critical review

    first time used

I am building a model aeroplane from plans and came across a review on super phatic saying how good it is. I purchased a bottle to give it a try but found it takes too long to dry and remained a bit rubbery when dried making it difficult to sand I had to cut off excess best I could with a scapel. I much prefer to various viscosity of super glue which dries almost immediately allowing work to progress faster. It is possibly a good glue for a different application

  • Very nice to use

This is an excellent glue for the woodwork aspects of aeromodelling. Thin enough to penetrate balsa, whilst grippy enough for light ply. Makes durable joints that are stronger than the material being joined. Sandable once dry, but best to wait for it to cure. One disadvantage: the bottle is only 50ml. I'm on my third bottle to complete a classic 81" span all-balsa design, so I wish it came in 200ml bottles. But maybe there's a reason for this: a small amount left in an older bottle from a previous build has thickened up. Still glues, but no longer penetrates.

  • A great adhesive product

A great glue....I use it to build a powered model aircraft....mainly attaching balsa wood, with the odd piece of very thin plywood .....does an excellent job I recently built an electric powered model boat ( for our grandchildren).. again using this glue...again thin plywood attaching to a fibreglass hull....excellent results.....but I ran out of glue....hence this latest purchase.Highly recommend .

  • Best glue for building balsa based model aeroplanes.

About as thick as single cream, so it soaks into the wood for a really good bond. Joins can usually be handled after about 20 minutes in a warm room, but needs 8 to 12 hours for a full "set".
