I am trying to shove a disc back into place with it by laying my side on it, and it seems to be doing something, so that is worth it, and I have put a couple of folded towels over it when using it as it is very uncomfy otherwise, but firmness is what is needed for certain applications and one cannot get that firmness any other way, but the towels make the experience more bearable, the foambar is about 1 cm thick and is only cosmetic really.
