    Excellent product

    A little tricky to fit and comes without instructions. You have to break the old one off and then pull this into two halves, remove the fuses for radio and lighter, remove the panel around the gearstick, unplug the cig lighter and this socket and then press the two sides of the new socket together on either side of the hole. Remember you will need your radio code when you reconnect the fuse on the radio!

    Not easy to fit.

    This product arrived in one piece but it is necessary to remove the top cap to get it through the opening and replace it to lock it in place. Removing it is not the easiest and I had to break some of the lugs to get it in.

    ford 3.5mm jack for glovebox or near gear knob

    fitted straight into ford wiring loom on my cmax, just don't push the center bit down until its in the hole as that secures it and locks then you have to use the bigish flaps to try to move it which is hard work as the flaps are quite weak and snap so use a screwdriver, the hole size is a 20mm /21 mm, I used a cone cutter to get the size and get rid of burrs, 20mm was a bit tight but when I tried 22mm on a piece of cardboard it was to loose so I think proper size is 21,

    As youd expect from genuine Ford

    Item arrived quickly, undamaged and fitted perfectly. Sound quality is great cant fault it. At first i tried the port without fibally fitting it and found the sound wasnt right and only came out of one speaker dependant on where you wiggled the aux cable. However once finally assembled (clicked together) the sound was spot on, i can only assume the negative review was a rare manufacturer defect or the port was improperly installed. Bargain for the price!
