    Bit fiddly

    This does what it says on the box, but you have to be precide to get it set up. Obviously the set up changes for each seperate item but there are so many screw bits it can take a while to get it right. On the whole, it works and is very sturdy. I use mine for watch repairs and the magnification is more than adequate for that. The stand could be bigger. There is a certain degree of imbalance which has to be considered when setting up for work.

    Helping hands or lazy hands ?

    Not really ideal for circuitry or models as the focus tends to be tricky to get it right and the helping hands never stay where you want them as the wing nuts have snapped just by trying to tighten enough for the arms not to move, suppose it would be good for reading with though.

    Good quality

    Can't fault this at all. The base is heavy so it doesn't tip over easily, the wing nuts tighten up nicely to give the right tension on the arms and the magnifying glass is good clear quality. Tip of the day: if you put cable shrink wrap on the croc Jaws it makes them non scratch.

    Very helpful hands

    Great little gadget. Would be 5 stars however it’s a little fiddly to adjust the arm tension and it goes floppy if you get it wrong. Other then that it’s ideal
