So it just touches the contacts within the fitting at each end . Not enough to maintain a stable continuous light . A very disappointing item bought though EBAY ! - It has caused me considerable inconvenience . I complained to Strictly Lamps . I was told I could sent it back for a refund . With lighting items there is a health and safety factor . The least they could do is sent a stamped addressed item !
