As a teacher I found that my students liked them too - I think the chunky triangular barrel fits the hand very well and more recently, with grandchildren attending school now, they work well in smaller hands too! I recently purchased another to replace the one I gave away and was sent a nice red one. What great stocking fillers for the grandchildren I thought and purchased three more. I realised then I forgot one for myself! So.....

It doesn't seem to smudge too much when watercolour is applied over it which is what I was hoping. Nice and thick for quick shading. Good triangular shape and weight to it. It may seem heavy to some but I like the feel, weight and thickness which allows for an easy grip.
