    Explains many of the ways in which your body isn't quite as good as you'd like it to be, and why.

    It's a very good book indeed, with a firm basis in solid Darwinian evolutionary theory with real world examples that are resonably easy to follow for the layman with a middle-school understanding of biology. I have a very sound understanding of the subject already and yet I found many interesting and novel explanations of aspects of health and bilogy that clarified numerous aspects of the subject. I bought a copy for a frien who recently graduated with a 1st in a deep cellular science subject, because I know this larger scale, well rounded explanation of many of the details he himself understands will broaden his outlook on all matters health.
