About this product

Product Information

From the age of 14, Caitlin was completely controlled, repeatedly raped, provided with alcohol, given drugs, sold and passed on to new gangs over and over again. The majority of her abusers were Pakistani men, who were blatant in their attacks upon her, often collecting her from school or home, to be taken to flats they owned, family homes, or hotels booked for the day, to be horrifically and systematically abused. At a time when the abuse ring realities of young white women in Rotherham and other major English cities are coming to light, Caitlin's story will appal readers - not just because of the degree of horrific attacks which were perpetrated upon her, but also because of the ways in which the authorities refused to act. Caitlin speaks openly about what she has suffered, and also shows just how unwilling many people are to face up to what is happening in our midst, for fear of being called racist. By bravely speaking out, she will, hopefully prove just how deep these problems are and just how the abusers get away with it in plain sight of the authorities.

Item arrived torn on the front cover about half way down but was refunded straight away and communication was faultless. I am a regular customer and will keep it that way just hope it doesn't happen again as it has happened a few times in a row.

    • Most favourable review

How can one human treat another like this?

Compelling reading and unbelievable this is happening in a developed country, the men in this book are lower than low saying they are like animals would be an insult to animals, I lent it to a friend who said it not the sort of book he would normally read but is really enjoying it

    • An interesting 2 hour read that provokes a lot of social questions

It is written in very simple English and does lack detail, a lot is just glossed over; But it does highlight the failings of the authorities (police, social workers etc) - or where they just worried about the criminals playing the race card?? One is bound to ask the question: Have any lessons been learnt from this, ie could it happen again? and I think the answer is yes when it involves organised gangs and corrupt officials.

Once you start reading this book you dont want to put it down. A real eye opener of what is happening up and down the UK. Such a heart breaking story.
