When I contacted the seller he said it was new other - didn't understand meaning - ( it was for a birthday gift) but couldn't give something in that state. Seller states to return I would have to pay postage about £5 wasn't willing to do so. Fan cost £13.99. Was very disappointed with item. The seller stated to return the ite for a refund I would have to pay the postage (probably £5)

Ok, I am no mechanic; I can just about show you where the wheels are on my car! So when it came to purchasing jump starter to actually start the car we were venturing into an alternative Universe. But along comes The NOCO GB 40 Boost. The most important feature to me is the safety feature. Believe me, when your not familiar with the workings of your car, this feature is vital. Unless you press the over ride, which cancels out the safety features, this little unit is safe enough even for me. Using the GB40 is very easy. My car had been standing idle for a month before using the GB40. When the gadget arrived I needed to power it from the mains for about an hour. I took it outside and managed to start my Diesel 2L on the second attempt. I like the other features of this little gem, it can ... There is a torch with various modes including SOS incase you are lost at Sea.The Unit is small, light but solid and well made, and comes with a storage bag. Downside is the short lead length which is not a problem if your battery connections are on top, you would struggle if the battery was sideways. If the Company made the leads a little longer I would give a 5 star rating. Its a little unfair for me to take a star away because for me this was not a problem but if your connections are not easy to get to then this is not the product for you. Lovely little gadget, safe and very easy to use, GB40 is still on full power and its been sitting in the car for a month. Highly recommended, good price too.

Could not start 4.6 litre petrol engine
Product was supposed to jump start petrol vehicles up to 6 litres, It could not start my 4.6 litre petrol engine. It lit up dashboard and interior lights but did not have power/quality to start the engine. I tried it on the contact points under the bonnet, would not start. Then I removed all the boot floor and attached it direct to the battery and it still would not start the vehicle. This thing is just INCREDIBLE... I drive an old 3.0L six cylinder engine that take s a fair but to crank, and this thing does it with ease.. Not just once, but 2, 3 4 and 5 times before it even goes down to 75% battery level... Crazy that once I needed a massive Jump Pack, and now this, including the cables fits into a small men's wash bag. (Exactly what I keep it in under the seat)... Astonishingly good. Time will tell if it lives up to the Life expectancy, but so far so good! If you have a big engine car, this thing will jump it... You only need the higher Ampage model if you're starting massive engines... Most cars will be brought to life with this, no probs.. Charging is quick too. I advise you to get a PortaPow micro USB (full speed charger cable, data blocked) for it and a proper ... This thing is just INCREDIBLE... this device is amazing. I had been having car battery problems. the battery seemed to be losing charge but as it was fairly new, I could not understand why. After getting jump starts on a few occasions, a friend came with his NOCO genius GB70 and whilst I did not need a boost then I decided to get myself a NOCO. My car has a smaller engine to I went for the GB40, sufficient power for my needs as 1000 amps. I have used the device on several occasions with amazing results. No need for another car and jump leads. just lift the bonnet and attach booster as per instructions and even with battery rating as low as 9.4 vols, the car started no problem. The device can be charged up with the UsB cable either from a standard mobile phone type charging plug and can even charge via the power ... this device is amazing. Didn't try it and hope never to use it, but if you have it, you are prepared in case of need and in case somebody needs help on the road. So, for sure it brings confidence with its excellent built quality and multi features like flash light and option to use it as a power bank for your smart phone/electronics. You may consider the designation you buy it for. For example if intend to use it for motorbike, the clamps are huge. The smaller NOCO GB20 might be more appropriate type, but better to be checked first. I choose the GB40, due to higher capacity and versatility (can use it for the car as well). I am planning to check for adapter in case I want to use it with fitted to the bike's battery NOCO Terminal connector.
