    Saw the film years ago starring John thaw loved it then my granddaughter is doing it at school now thought I'd freshen up a bit n loved it just as much this time around great read I was raised in the country in the fifties n a lot of the language was familiar hope my granddaughter enjoys as much

    Shocking condition

    How could you sell this book in the condition it is in. Pages stuck together, water marks cover is hanging on on a thread. Ripped in places. There’s scribbling over some pages, If you disclosed how bad a state this book was in I wouldn’t have purchased it. What a let down. Will not be purchasing anything else from you. There’s no excuse to be selling a book in this condition.

    BRILLIANT read good night Mr tom

    I had seen this at the theatre and loved it so I wanted to read the the book beautiful put together so sad in places but you get a real feel of what it must have been like I am not one for reading books twice but this one I definitely will read again & again said I would pass it on to a friend of mine but think.i will just buy her a copy instead a brilliant read

Called back to London by his mother Willie's life changes for the worst until Mr Tom comes to find his evacuee. This story will bring tears to the eyes of both sorrow and joy. Designated a children's book, this is an absorbing read for adults as well. Not to be missed

    Its a very interest book about the second world war, and what it was like for the children who were evacuated into the countryside, from the big cities such as London. It gives an insite into life then in the 1940's.For those of us who were not living then.
