Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. "Live In Hong Kong 2001" features Deep Purple on top of their game, in the midst of their Asia Tour in 2001. On March 20st, they took to the stage in Hong Kong's Coliseum, the city's largest concert hall at the time. Here, we see Purple as a raw and immediate live-act, without background singers, guest vocals, added string quartets or any other bells and whistles. It's rock'n'roll in it's purest form - and we like it.

      GA geat Purple collectors recording

      Great album- An unusual combination as you have Ronnie James Dio performing- a couple of Roger Glover Butterfly Ball tunes form his 1974 production as well as a couple of later DIO numbers. There is also a full horn section backing purple which gives some great depth and punch. The standout for the horn's performance is Ian Paice's jazz interpretation of Wring that Neck......a stella number! There is also a full Orchestra backing on a few of the tracks and a full rendition of the Concerto for Group and Orchestra. Well recorded .....so all round a great collector's edition for Purple fans.
