    Perfect example of the content

    Herman Wouk is a first class author after reading the book , the dvd was the obvious next step . It was true to the book although the actors chosen to represent the characters bore no resemblance to the descriptions in the book , poetic license I guess .

    Poor acting

    Rave reviews elsewhere prompted me to get this but the acting is grim, particularly the characters of Natalie and Byron. The rest are okay and I was sufficiently interested in ww2 to have persevered to the end.

    Engrossing story.

    It is a series which covers a period of history that should not be forgotten even though the central characters in the story are fictional and fit into historical context.

    War and Remembrance

    Follow up to Winds of War. Slow moving at times and I fast forwarded some scenes which I found hard to watch but it is interesting to find out what happened to the various characters.
