These pencil sharpeners are worth the price. Electronic sharpeners and cheap plastic ones never work on most colored pencils, the lead just falls out or gets jammed. With this brass bullet sharpener the kids line up in art class and ignore every other cr@ppy sharpener in the room because they know this one works. I Like the weighty feel of it too.

The only sharpener you’ll ever need. For ANYTHING!

in the past 10 to 15 years, I’m sure I have spent at least $350 to $500 buying, and testing, virtually every style of manual, portable and 110-volt sharpener on the market. That amount, however, pales in comparison to the number of obscenely expensive high-end artists’ pencils… charcoals, pastels, watercolor pencils, graphite sketching pencils, the works… that I have ground into oblivion, left with nothing but a pile of wood shavings, broken leads and tips. It’s easy to lose both your money and your mind, very quickly, when despite your best efforts you still manage to pulverize the best artists’ pencils money can buy. Overtime, a lot of them. Destroy one too many watercolor color pencils from a 72-pencil set that runs $179, and inevitably, it becomes obvious. I use primarily Derwent ...

  • Love this little sharpener

I use this sharpener for my prisma pencils on a recommendation of a YouTube video. I love how easy and portable it is to use. It’s small and fits well in a container I use to hold the pencils I’m currently using. I even brought a couple for my granddaughter for her pencils. I have not found it to break the pencils I’m sharpening and gives a nice sharp point to the pencils.

  • Excellent sharpener

I'm the mother of school-age children and have gone through probably hundreds of cheap waste of money sharpeners to keep it home. This one was barely more than the cheap ones and it is the best quality sharpener I've ever had in my life. It's heavyweight and sturdy sharpens beautifully and it's going to last forever. By making a small $10 investment you have a sharpener for life. I highly recommend this item

  • Small, Convenient and now Indispensable

Have three other pencil sharpeners available, two manual crank-type and an electric model. All of them work well, but when I'm entrenched with a crossword puzzle and a cup of coffee, they are a pain to get to. This little sucker is right there at the ready, and I don't miss a beat. Doesn't seem to help my spelling much, but what the hay.

  • On of My Favorite Purchases in a Long Time

Hand made, I think. I am not sure they are still available. I took a chance and ordered top right corner - so glad I did it's a life-time keepsake now, that actually sharpens pencils for my crossword puzzles.
