The text, written by architectural critic and historian Aaron Betsky, is based on interviews with the architect and the surgeon whose vision it was to create this world-class clinic. The story of the evolution of the clinic is illustrated by many striking photographs by well-known Los Angeles architectural photographer Tom Bonner.
