    Rode VideoMic NTG by ifnmedia

    It ships in peculiar packaging, you know, the sort that you can't put it back into - but why would you? This cracking little mic delivers a broadcast quality performance at a fraction of the cost of its older competitors. We field tested this inside furnished rooms and found that setting its gain to 5.0 gave the best side noise rejection even at a subject distance of 1.5M - though a word of advice - DON'T turn up the gain on your camera too much because this mic delivers a very punchy signal! Outside of course it really delivers and the excellent side rejection means targeting speakers in a crowd is an absolute peach, yet it does so with a nice smooth roll off between adjacent subjects. The battery life is as advertised so no worries there and the best feature by far is the selective - ...
