I've always been a fan of re-purposing. The idea of giving an item a second look before tossing it away, that someone may want it. With that being said, I got into looking for items that others may ...

The Very Velvet Barbie is so lovely! Her face and hair are so pretty, and I love the cool, red outfit. It is very unique. The doll and her original box were packed and shipped in a very sturdy box. She arrived quickly and she is exactly as described. She is in perfect condition. The price and shipping were both great. I am thrilled with this beautiful Barbie. I am also pleased with the superb service! Thank you so much!

  • My favorite Thomas Dolby CD!

Glad to find this CD in good shape. Thomas Dolby is one of those artists whose music is not readily available on services like Spotify, so, happy I found this old CD, and in good shape, too

  • This and a few other other groups helped save the decade for Popular/Rock Music

Outstanding record with a LOT of guest Musician performances that add a lot to its overall quality. The Singles "Airhead" and "She Blinded Me With Science" are every BIT as good as you remember. (Maybe BETTER, actually.) The Musicianship is the big bonus here. "The Ability To Swing" and "Budapest by Blimp" are singles that probably should've been but weren't. Dolby and a few other groups from this time (who's DNA actually harkens back to the '70's) helped refute the assertion that great popular Music DIED by this point in time. I believe production was assisted by Bobby Colomby (Drummer/Co-Founder of Blood, Sweat & Tears) and features Trombonist Bill Watrous in a lovely solo section. All in all a BIG surprise for folks expecting a mere synth pop record. Musicians still mattered. ...

  • Dolby's other great album

Thomas Dolby made two notably strong albums: one established him as a one-hit wonder, the other left people scratching their heads. This is that latter album. Gone is the moody near-depression of The Flat Earth, replaced by dancy upbeat tracks that veer from funk to jazz, with large doses of near-Zappa-esque humor. Dolby was always able to be lively, but here he's actually FUN (which his fans evidently did not want). Unlike most mid-80s recordings, it hasn't aged badly: real musicians playing strong arrangements is a pretty good recipe for longevity.

  • Vinyl rules

I have the cassette and CD, this completed the set and there is nothing like music on vinyl.
